Now that our northwest summer has finally arrived does it make you feel guilty when you sit in your sewing room and quilt on a sunny day? I was having some similar guilt pangs last week when a wonderful idea hit me like a bolt of lightening. I moved my machine, ironing board, iron and my project right out onto the front porch. I operated from out there the rest of the week and pieced a queen sized quilt top and a holloween throw I had been working on. I got plenty of fresh air, got to hear the birds sing and finished both projects. So, my sewing tip for the summer is get outside and sew. You will love it!
